What If My Plant Gets Sick?

1. Follow the plant care instructions provide on this website.
2. Allow the plant time adjust to its new invironment. Avoid frequent moving, changes in watering regimes or changes in light. Some plants take as much as two years to adjust to its new environment. Each time its moved or repotted, it must readjust.
3. For cactus, no water in the winter. In the summer, make sure the dirt in the pot is completely dry. Don't water anymore than twice per month.
4. If you see your plant wilting, take it out of the dirt and let it dry out for a couple of weeks. Be sure to repot it in fast draining mix; which is typically 50% or more pumice or some other volcanic material.
   

Are You Open to the Public? Do You have a Walk-in Nursery?

• We represent many different Cactus and Succulent Growers throughout the state of California. Most of these growers, small and large don't have Internet expertise. We fill the gap. Its a win-win for everybody. The grower gets access to new markets. The customer gets to select from a wider variety of plants. Therefore, we are primarily an Internet marketing company and do not have a walk-in nursery available to the public. Our sole purpose is to use our internet development savvy and knowledge of local growers to bring you the best selection possible. We even search private collections to bring you plants that can't be found anywhere else.
• However, some of our suppliers are listed on cactus-mall.com in the nursery section. Some of these nurseries sell retail, some sell only wholesale. You can visit the retail nurseries.

Winter Shipping?

• Winter shipping to the Sunbelt states, i.e. Florida and Texas, is no problem. However, we get many orders from the Northern States during the winter months as well. As you know, some of the cactus from South America must be kept above 50 degrees F. at all times. Therefore, our shipping policy is as follows:
1. We can hold your order until weather gets warmer in your area. We'll communicate by email.
2. We can ship Overnight Express for an extra fee.
3. We can ship it as we normally do, USPS priority, which should reach you within two to three days.
4. We can pack it in a foam picnic cooler for an extra charge.
   

International Shipping?

• We can ship to the USA and Canada at this time.
  

Why is Shipping Included in the Price?

• We include the costs of shipping and handling in the price because its more fair to you. The Paypal shipping calculator is too crude for our range of plants. The Paypal shipping calculator is based on dollar value rather than the weight of the plant. We have plants that are very light weight but have a high dollar value. The Paypal shipping calculation would be unfairly high for you and would not reflect the true shipping costs.
• We weigh the plant in its shipping package, then go to USPS.com to calculate the shipping cost. Then we add that amount to the price of the plant.
• If you order multiple items, the combined shipping is normally lower for each item. That's why we added the "Combo Cart". We added this to give you a shipping break if you order multiple items totaling more than $100. See more information about the shipping calculator in the next Question.

What is the Combo Cart? How do I use the Combo Cart?

• The combo cart is a mechanism where you can save BIG dollars. If you order more than $200, for example, then you'll get an immediate discount of $40. We implemented this to make the shipping costs you pay more accurate for combined items. However, you MUST use the combo cart to get the discount. If you check-out using the normal paypal buttons, you'll be paying the full price.
• The Combo Cart is simple to use. The page is split vertically. The left side shows a list of plants. The right side shows the items you have placed in the Combo Cart, along totals and the amount you need to get to your next disount level. If you need to view an item, just click on the link and it will show up on the right side. You can always get back to your Combo Cart items by hitting the submit button on the top or bottom of the left side.
  
• When you click on the "Check Out to Paypal" button, your total combo cart order is submitted as one item to paypal. It is recommended that you print your Combo Cart page so that you'll have a record of the items you ordered.
  Items over $100 are not included in the Combo Cart list because they are either high valued plants or very heavy. However, because the Combo Cart order is submitted as one item to the Paypal shopping cart, you can still add items over $100 to the paypal shopping cart along with your Combo total. That way you can still get a discount on all items costing less than $100 apiece.
